As I have done my devotions this last week, I have noticed the Lord seems to be speaking a certain theme.
Proverbs 3:25-26 — This scripture was in a devotional book I read.
25 Have no fear of sudden disaster
or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked,
26 for the Lord will be at your side
and will keep your foot from being snared.

Isaiah 43:5 This was on my calendar.
5 Do not be afraid, for I am with you;
Isaiah 43:2 This was on my calendar the very next day.
2 When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.

I’ve noticed a pattern here that fits so well with what is taking place in our world. It’s nice to have the reminders from the Lord that despite the terrors we see on the nightly news, we do not need to fear when He is on our side. He is with us, and He will NOT leave us!
