Isaiah 13

This sounds like the US and ISIS:

Isaiah 13 Living Bible (TLB)

13 This is the vision God showed Isaiah (son of Amoz) concerning Babylon’s doom.

2 See the flags waving as their enemy attacks. (This reminds me of ISIS waving their flag as they drive through areas they have conquered.) Shout to them, O Israel, and wave them on as they march against Babylon to destroy the palaces of the rich and mighty. 3 I, the Lord, have set apart these armies for this task; I have called those rejoicing in their strength to do this work, to satisfy my anger. 4 Hear the tumult on the mountains! Listen as the armies march! It is the tumult and the shout of many nations. The Lord Almighty has brought them here, 5 from countries far away. They are his weapons against you, O Babylon. They carry his anger with them and will destroy your whole land.

6 Scream in terror, for the Lord’s time has come, the time for the Almighty to crush you. 7 Your arms lie paralyzed with fear; the strongest hearts melt 8 and are afraid. Fear grips you with terrible pangs, like those of a woman in labor. You look at one another, helpless, as the flames of the burning city reflect upon your pallid faces. 9 For see, the day of the Lord is coming, the terrible day of his wrath and fierce anger. The land shall be destroyed and all the sinners with it. 10 The heavens will be black above them. No light will shine from stars or sun or moon.

11 And I will punish the world for its evil, the wicked for their sin; I will crush the arrogance of the proud man and the haughtiness of the rich. 12 Few will live when I have finished up my work.

Men will be as scarce as gold—of greater value than the gold of Ophir. 13 For I will shake the heavens in my wrath and fierce anger, and the earth will move from its place in the skies.

14 The armies of Babylon will run until exhausted, fleeing back to their own land like deer chased by dogs, wandering like sheep deserted by their shepherd. 15 Those who don’t run will be butchered. 16 Their little children will be dashed to death against the pavement right before their eyes; their homes will be sacked and their wives raped by the attacking hordes. 17 For I will stir up the Medes against Babylon, and no amount of silver or gold will buy them off. 18 The attacking armies will have no mercy on the young people of Babylon or the babies or the children.

19 And so Babylon, the most glorious of kingdoms, the flower of Chaldean culture, will be as utterly destroyed as Sodom and Gomorrah were when God sent fire from heaven; 20 Babylon will never rise again. Generation after generation will come and go, but the land will never again be lived in.[a] The nomads will not even camp there. The shepherds won’t let their sheep stay overnight. 21 The wild animals of the desert will make it their home. The houses will be haunted by howling creatures. Ostriches will live there, and the demons will come there to dance. 22 Hyenas and jackals will den within the palaces. Babylon’s days are numbered; her time of doom will soon be here.

Encouragement from Isaiah

Isaiah 3:8-11Modern English Version (MEV)

8
For Jerusalem is ruined,
and Judah is fallen,
because their tongue and their deeds are against the Lord,
to provoke the eyes of His glory.
9
The expression of their countenance witnesses against them,
and they declare their sin as Sodom;
they hide it not.
Woe to them!
For they have brought evil on themselves.

10
Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them,
for they shall eat the fruit of their deeds.

11
Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him,
for the reward of his hands shall be given him.

I love how in the midst of such a strong word against the wicked, the Lord pauses to basically say, “But don’t forget to remind my kids it will be ok for them!”

My Dream and God’s Judgment

I had a horrific dream last night.  At first, I couldn’t even talk about it this morning.  I just wanted to cry.  I knew I needed refresh myself in the Lord.

Once I got before the Lord and refreshed my spirit, He spoke some things to me that I think would be beneficial to all of us to hear. And one thing the Lord knows about me, I don’t want to go through anything difficult and miss what He is trying to teach me, even if the difficult thing is “just a bad dream.”

I was in a very large house — more like a mansion. (Yet we actually live in a 2 BR, 1 BA house, so MUCH smaller than what was in my dream.) I knew we needed to have all the doors, windows locked. I thought they were, but they weren’t. (Now this could actually have to do with something I experienced in real life, but can’t post details.) Anyway, the Lord spoke to me that we all know we need to close “openings” in our spiritual armor. Yet we need to get before Him to allow Him to show us where there might still be openings, no matter how small they may be, then close those openings.

At one point, I was shooting a gun and it started misfiring. As scary as it was in my dream to have that happen, the Lord reminded me that I was not injured during that time. In fact, suddenly, I had a mag that kept firing, w/o ever going out. He gently spoke to me that when we stay grounded in His Word and plant it deeply within our hearts, we can use it as a weapon and it will NEVER misfire. Our spiritual “mag” will NEVER run out of ammo.

One of the things I did while I was allowing the Lord to refresh my spirit was to listen to a playlist on you tube of Harvest.  In one song, it asks, “Are we walking into the enemy’s camp and laying our weapons down?” The Lord reminded me that it is critical to be mindful of our spiritual armor and be more ready to use it than even physical armor/weapons because we ARE living in the enemy’s camp NOW.

The one part of the dream that had me so rattled involved watching iSIS taking my daughter. As I shot the gun, my aim was off. The bullet hit something that caused a wet chemical of some kind (likely gasoline) to cover her. The person I was trying to shoot laughed a maniacal laugh and lit a match. It was HORRIFIC to see it. However, once I calmed down and allowed the Lord to speak to me, He reminded me that I immediately used my spiritual weapons and cried out to Him, asking Him to keep that match from lighting up the chemicals on her. AND HE DID!!! In fact, right after that, she was able to get free. Lesson from the Lord: Don’t ever discount the weapons He provides for us. As important as it is for us to be physically prepared for what is ahead of us, our spiritual preparation is of UTMOST IMPORTANCE.

So while the dream was very disturbing, in reality, God used it as a to speak some powerful things to me.

Later this afternoon, I saw this on Steve Quayle’s site and it resonated with my spirit.  It goes right along with some of what the Lord was showing me I must take very seriously.

I have been sensing the same thing in my spirit, and even more so, once gay marriage got passed.  The walls of our land were severely breached on that day.

Here is another word that goes right along with the above:

Surrending our rights to an all powerful sovereign

I know I have posted some heavy stuff here on this blog recently.  If you are the type who wants to deny that something horrible is coming, I want to remind you of what Obama said:

Now, think about all I have posted, along with what Obama said.  Think about what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah and what transpired in our nation last week with the passing of gay marriage.  Do you still think we are safe?  Do you really believe nothing will bad will happen to us?

I firmly believe our nation is under the judgment of God.  While I would like to pray that nothing bad comes to our nation, I honestly can’t do that now.  What I can do is pray for the Lord to protect His remnant while judgment comes to our nation.  I can pray that those who don’t know Him will open their eyes and repent of their sins.  But praying that bad doesn’t come…..I just can’t do that.  America deserves His judgment for thumbing their noses at Him.

As we face July 4th, I won’t be celebrating.  I will be mourning the death of a nation who was once a great and godly nation.
