Hint for Oreo Dirt Pudding Dessert

Oreo Dirt Pudding is very popular for family gatherings. The only bad thing about it is that the oreos get soggy and that is just gross. What I do when I make it is leave off the oreo base. Just make the pudding. Break up the oreos and put them in another bowl. When you are ready to eat the pudding, spoon oreos over the top. This way they don’t have time to get soggy!

Bra Help

Being a bigger girl, and having joint issues in my shoulders, wearing a back-closing bra is nearly impossible these days. I switched several months ago to front closing bras. However, there is still an issue. At the bottom, where the fasteners are, my skin often gets irritated. I have used folded toilet paper to help ease the discomfort, but that is rather gross when you get sweaty.

I went to a new store last night and found the perfect solution! Pop Shelf is like a higher end Dollar Tree store. Very nice, with decent prices. I was looking through the beauty care section when I found Nu-pore makeup remover pads. They are very soft and can be washed and dried. They are the perfect size for placing under my bras to protect that delicate skin! There were 5 in the box for $5. They are also 100% vegan and cruelty free.

Gluten Free Meatloaf and Being Frugal

I tried this GF recipe for meatloaf. It was delicious! And I thought my meatloaf from my pre-GF days was good! What a blessing to find some GF recipes that taste fabulous! https://www.mamaknowsglutenfree.com/gluten-free-meatloaf/

I have a frugal mindset so deeply ingrained. I decided to do something different for our meatloaf supper. I made one loaf that was GF, using the recipe above. Since I have LOTS of Ritz whole wheat crackers from before I switched my diet, I didn’t want to waste them. I decided to make a second meatloaf for hubby to eat. He can eat those leftovers in a few days and/or freeze some of it for later. I changed his loaf to be more like what I used for my own meatloaf, but instead of GF breadcrumbs, I used crushed Ritz whole wheat crackers. Those really give it a nice flavor. I left off the ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard coating over the top b/c I knew he wouldn’t like that part of it. He gave it a two-thumbs up!

Gluten Free Meatballs

These are FABULOUS! They are so good that I made another batch today in the oven, then put them in the freezer for an easy meal at a later date. When I put them in the crock pot, I use a coffee-infused BBQ sauce from Kroger. Unfortunately, they don’t sell it anymore. It was the BEST BBQ sauce I have ever tried! What a bummer that they chose to discontinue it!

Homemade Chili Powder

I decided to make chili only to discover I didn’t have enough chili powder. I opted to check online for a make-it-yourself recipe. And the ingredients I needed were all things I keep in stock, so I may never have to buy chili powder again!

Chili Powder

2 T. paprika

2 t. oregano

1-1/2 t. cumin

1-1/2 t. garlic powder

3/4 t. onion powder

1/4 t. cayenne pepper (optional)

Put in a container and shake well before use!
